A public game art / media art installation in the multifunctional building of Valkeala. Made together with Petteri Nisunen, Jari Lehtinen and Tommi Gröndlund. This public art piece was chosen as a winner from a public art competition organized by the Kouvola Art Museum.

14 different touch screens is connected via game logic to the seven big round screens in the buildings cafeteria. The small screens are in the different parts of the building, in the different age classes of the school.

The game logic is akin to a treasure hunt; one of the 14 small screen is activate at the time and the player has to touch it within a time limit. After a player has succesfully touched the small screen, the active state of the game transfers to a different screen in a different part of the school with the time limit decreasing. The game has seven different “stages” each stage decreasing the time limit. The game is won when the different age classes play the game altogether by activating sequence of the small screen in a chain like manner within the decreasing time limit.

The big screens in building’s cafeteria show what stage the game is played. There is also a color coordination of the screens, each part of the building representing a spesific color. The big screen also indicate, where in the school the activate screen of the game is.
