ah, nuo kultaiset hetket
ah, those golden moments
a 60h long video work
Kaiku gallery, Helsinki. 18.-30.1.2011
A Max/MSP video project; I slowed down the “historical” 1995 ice hockey World Championship match between Finland and Sweden to approx 60 hours. It played in a gallery continuously.
Maybe it’s important to notice for people of outside of Finland, but this match is still often remembered and glorified, because it’s the first time Finland has won a golden metal in ice hockey. It’s a kind of humoristic look to this somewhat silly game/nationalism.
Sound is from the slowed down video. No further processing.
Unfortunately Vimeo has deleted my documentation video. I have to go through my hard drives to see if I can find it somewhere.
