anti-blashemia
sound installation
Nastola’s Summer group exhibition / Nastolan Kesänäyttely: “Vastahankaan”, Old community house of Nastola municipality, July – August 2020

My piece for the summer group exhibition of Nastola is a generative sound installation that deconstructs the early speed metal demos of Finland’s most known right-wing populist. The songs by Blashemia (sic) are transformed into calming bubbling stream of sounds by a micro computer that constantly searches fragments and frequencies from the metal tracks. By being a complete aural opposite of Blashemia, the piece strives to be a poetic act of resistance to right-wing populism.
